AIGU OM! 2026

July 15-18, 2026

Aigu Om! + Valmiermuiža Ethnomusic Festival (LV)

Aigu Om! is coming again! And it will be different. At the sixth Aigu Om! festival, we will turn our attention to our Latvian neighbors and join forces with them! Latvian musicians, craftsmen and artists will visit Aigu Om! and we will cooperate with the organizers and community of the Valmiermuiža ethnomusic festival. But that's not all. Latvia is a stone's throw away, and this year it is possible to spend the last day of Aigu Om!, July 18, in the middle of an excellent international music program in Valmiera. Experience the feeling of driving just ten kilometers from the Aigu Om! venue, another language and another country begins.

Aigu Om means - there is time, take your time! This idea, which has become the motto of the Võro people, is the message of the festival, inspiring its audience to a slower and closer life to nature. The Aigu Om festival in Võru County combines music, forest and words. Aigu Om workshops, reflections, concerts and trips offer an opportunity to experience the rich local traditional culture, the knowledge and stories of local people and the enchanting nature of Võru County.

A new cross-border cooperation project “Same, same, but different” brings together the cultural communities of Northern Latvia and Southern Estonia to celebrate traditions, draw creative inspiration and learn from each other.

The project brings together two cultural life organizers – Valmiermuiža Cultural Society with the Valmiermuiža Ethnomusic Festival (Latvia) and NGO Haki Sound with Aigu Om! Festival (Estonia), widely strengthening the connection between festivals of the same cultural heritage and the people who create them.
