Rõuge Rahvamaja, Metsa tn 1, Rõuge, 66201 Võru maakond
As part of the Aigu Om! festival taking place in July, we will be showing the music documentary “Puuluup – kabelid autos veel” at the Rõuge community center cinema. The film’s director, Taavi Arus, will also be in town. The film opens up the life and creative process of Ramo Tedre and Marko Veisson, members of our great kandle duo Puuluup, during the years when they are reaching the crest of international success. The journey of the middle-aged boy band, who practice “neo-zombie-post-folk” music, to the top of the world is characterized by dry humor and absurd situations. In this global portrait film, the splendor of the stage and the everyday life collide. The film also takes a look behind the scenes, how the 5minust song was created with the ensemble, which entered to represent Estonia at Eurovision and whose name the band members can’t even spell correctly. Duration of the film: 1 hour and 35 minutes. Additional information: tel. 514 1384, rahvamaja@rougevald.ee Cinema tickets 6 euros, 5 euros for children and seniors. Tickets can be purchased on site in cash or by card.
